Truck Simulator: European Roads is a simulation driving game that puts you behind the wheel of a big rig truck, transporting cargo across Europe. Your goal is to pick up jobs, deliver your cargo safely, and earn money to take on better-paying challenges.

How to Play Truck Simulator: European Roads

When you start the game, you will get a tutorial and a chance to look at the map. Don’t skip past the map. It’s pretty important to know where you’re headed, especially if you’re committing to a job.

You’ll see a job board with deliveries that vary by cargo type, destination, distance, and payout. Here are some of the starting jobs you might see:

Start with the easier, shorter jobs first to train. The bigger payouts come with longer hauls and trickier cargo, so build your skills on the 200 km runs before taking on a 561 km trip to Berlin.

Driving Controls

The game uses W for gas, A and D to steer left and right, and S to brake. Q and E handle your left and right blinkers, H honks the horn, C switches the camera, L toggles the lights, N activates the wipers, F starts and stops the engine, 1 shifts into forward gear, 2 shifts into reverse, and V engages cruise control.

Get comfortable with A and D before worrying about anything else, as overcorrecting is the easiest way to have your truck fold in on itself and get stuck. Tap the S key gently rather than holding it down hard, since a loaded truck takes longer to stop than a car. Use 1 and 2 carefully when switching gears in tight warehouse areas, and save V for long straight highways when you want to give your fingers a rest.

Once you load your truck, get ready to hit the road! Follow the map to your destination and drive carefully. You will be penalized for crashes, so take it slow around the turns and earn more by taking it slow around turns and in traffic.
